narrow20gateWelcome! Deciding to begin therapy for the first time or finding a new therapist to continue the work you’ve done in the past can be a daunting venture.   Much of the research on the effectiveness of therapy suggests that the type of therapeutic approach does not have much impact on how effective therapy is,  but rather the relationship between you and your therapist is primary in determining how much you will get out of therapy.  Selecting a therapist that you feel comfortable with can usually be determined by first setting up a consultation session and then meeting with your new therapist for a few sessions.
